وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يَشْتَرِى لَهْوَ ٱلْحَدِيثِ لِيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَيَتَّخِذَهَا هُزُوًا ۚ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ

"Dan ada di antara manusia: orang yang memilih serta membelanjakan hartanya kepada cerita-cerita dan perkara-perkara hiburan yang melalaikan; yang berakibat menyesatkan (dirinya dan orang ramai) dari ugama Allah dengan tidak berdasarkan sebarang pengetahuan; dan ada pula orang yang menjadikan ugama Allah itu sebagai ejek-ejekan; merekalah orang-orang yang akan beroleh azab yang menghinakan."

"(6) And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech[1160] to mislead [others] from the way of Allāh without knowledge and who takes it [i.e., His way] in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment."

English oleh Saheeh International: "[1160]- i.e., that which has no benefit. Described by different ṣaḥābah as shirk (association with Allāh), misleading stories, frivolous songs, or music but includes all which distracts or diverts one from the Qur’ān and remembrance of Allāh."

"6. And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e. music, singing, etc.) to mislead (men) from the Path of Allâh without knowledge, and takes it (the Path of Allâh, or the Verses of the Qur’ân) by way of mockery. For such there will be a humiliating torment (in the Hell-fire).[2]"

English oleh Taqiyuddin Al-Hilali and Muhsen Khan: "(V.31:6) What is said regarding the one who regards an alcoholic drink lawful to drink, and calls it by another name. Narrated Abu ‘Âmir or Abu Malik Al-Ash‘ari that he heard the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم saying: "From among my followers there will be some people who will consider illegal sexual intercourse, the wearing of silk, the drinking of alcoholic drinks, and the use of musical instruments as lawful. And (from them), there will be some who will stay near the side of a mountain, and in the evening their shepherd will come to them with their sheep and ask them for something, but they will say to him: ‘Return to us tomorrow.’ Allâh will destroy them during the night and will let the mountain fall on them, and He will transform the rest of them into monkeys and pigs; and they will remain so till the Day of Resurrection." (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol. 7, Hadith No. 494B)."

"तथा लोगों में कोई ऐसा (भी) है, जो असावधान करने वाली बात[1] खरीदता है, ताकि बिना ज्ञान के (लोगों को) अल्लाह के मार्ग (इस्लाम) से गुमराह करे और अल्लाह की आयतों का उपहास करे। यही लोग हैं, जिनके लिए अपमानकारी यातना है।"

Hindi oleh Azizul-Haqq Al-Umary: "1. इससे अभिप्राय गाना-बजाना तथा संगीत और प्रत्येक वे साधन हैं, जो सत्कर्म से अचेत कर दें। इसमें क़िस्से, कहानियाँ, काम संबंधी साहित्य सब सम्मिलित हैं।"

6. (இவர்களைத் தவிர) மனிதரில் பலர் இருக்கின்றனர். அவர்கள் (பொய்யான கட்டுக்கதைகள் முதலிய) வீணான விஷயங்களை விலைக்கு வாங்கி (அவற்றை மக்களுக்கு ஓதிக் காண்பித்து) அல்லாஹ்வுடைய மார்க்கத்தில் இருந்து ஞானமின்றி மக்களை வழிகெடுத்து அதைப் பரிகாசமாகவும் எடுத்துக் கொள்கின்றனர். இவர்களுக்கு இழிவு தரும் வேதனை நிச்சயமாக உண்டு.

அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையிலிருந்து (மக்களை) வழிகெடுப்பதற்காகவும், அதை பரிகாசமாக எடுத்துக் கொள்வதற்காகவும் கல்வி இன்றி வீண் பேச்சை விலைக்கு வாங்குபவன் மக்களில் இருக்கிறான். இத்தகையவர்களுக்கு (அவர்களை) இழிவுபடுத்தும் தண்டனை உண்டு.

૬. અને કેટલાક લોકો એવા પણ છે, જેઓ અલ્લાહથી ગાફેલ કરવાવાળી બેકાર વાતોને ખરીદે છે, જેથી તેના દ્વારા લોકોને અલ્લાહના માર્ગથી પથભ્રષ્ટ કરી દે અને તેની મશ્કરી કરે, આ જ તે લોકો છે જેમના માટે અપમાનિત કરી દેનારો અઝાબ છે.

اور بعض لوگ ایسے بھی ہیں جو لغو باتوں کو مول لیتے ہیں(1) کہ بےعلمی کے ساتھ لوگوں کو اللہ کی راه سے بہکائیں اور اسے ہنسی بنائیں(2)، یہی وه لوگ ہیں جن کے لئے رسوا کرنے واﻻ عذاب ہے.(3)

Urdu oleh Muhammad Ibrahim Gunakry: "(1) اہل سعادت، جو کتاب الٰہی سے راہ یاب اور اس کے سماع سے فیض یاب ہوتے ہیں، ان کے ذکر کے بعد ان اہل شقاوت کا بیان ہو رہا ہے جو کلام الٰہی کے سننے سے تو اعراض کرتے ہیں، البتہ ساز وموسیقی، نغمہ وسرور اور گانے وغیرہ خوب شوق سے سنتے اور ان میں دلچسپی لیتے ہیں۔ خریدنے سے مراد یہی ہے کہ آلات طرب شوق سے اپنے گھروں میں لاتے اور پھر ان سے لذت اندوز ہوتے ہیں۔ لَهْوَ الْحَدِيثِ سے مراد گانا بجانا، اس کا ساز وسامان اور آلات، سازو موسیقی اور ہر وہ چیز ہے جو انسانوں کو خیر اور معروف سے غافل کر دے۔ اس میں قصے، کہانیاں، افسانے، ڈرامے، ناول اور جنسی اور سنسنی خیز لٹریچر، رسالے اور بے حیائی کے پرچارک اخبارات سب ہی آجاتے ہیں اور جدید ترین ایجادات ریڈیو، ٹی وی، وی سی آر، ویڈیو فلمیں وغیرہ بھی۔ عہد رسالت میں بعض لوگوں نے گانے بجانے والی لونڈیاں بھی اسی مقصد کے لئے خریدی تھیں کہ وہ لوگوں کا دل گانے سنا کر بہلاتی رہیں تاکہ قرآن واسلام سے وہ دور رہیں۔ اس اعتبار سے اس میں گلوکارائیں بھی آجاتی ہیں جو آج کل فن کار، فلمی ستارہ اور ثقافتی سفیر اور پتہ نہیں کیسے کیسے مہذب، خوش نما اور دل فریب ناموں سے پکاری جاتی ہیں۔ (2) ان تمام چیزوں سے یقیناً انسان اللہ کے راستے سےگمراہ ہو جاتے ہیں اور دین کو استہزا وتمسخر کا نشانہ بھی بناتے ہیں۔ (3) ان کی سرپرستی اور حوصلہ افزائی کرنے والے ارباب حکومت، ادارے، اخبارات کے مالکان، اہل قلم اور فیچر نگار بھی اسی عذاب مہین کے مستحق ہوں گے۔ أَعَاذَنَا اللهُ مِنْهُ."
